TP beat profit expectations

Telekomunikacja Polska, Poland’s largest telco, recently released its 1Q consolidated financial results, which include a net profit rise of 32 percent year-on-year, due primarily to rising mobile and broadband revenue and lower financial costs.

Nar Mobile open VIP sale centre

MTS looking to buy Babilon

Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), is in talks to buy Tajikistan’s Babilon Mobile, according to Vedomosti business daily.
Privately-owned Babilon Mobile operates in the GSM standard, and according to the Blycroft Database it is the largest operator of the region with around 700,000 subscribers, or 31.67 percent of the Tajikistan market. Analysts polled value it at USD 500 [...]

MTS may buy Euroset, mobile retail chain

MTS is reported to be considering a bid for the country’s largest phone retailer, Euroset. According to Vedomosti the two companies have been in talks for the past few weeks.

Bulgaria to auction more spectrum

The telecoms regulator Bulgaria, CRC, has announced plans to auction off a block from the GSM1800 spectrum, specifically it will be offering two 5MHz blocks in the 1800MHz spectrum. Applications must be filed within twenty-one days.
