Telekom Slovenia enters Macedonian market

Euroset launch SIP-based VoIP offering

Russian mobile retailer Euroset has launched a SIP telephony service under its own brand. Subscribers can make calls and send SMS from the Euroset website or by using a softphone installed on their PC or laptop, or downloaded in the USB-phone memory.

RomTelecom claim 71.3 percent of fixed lines

The Romanian National Regulatory Authority for Communications and Information Technology has reported that RomTelecom claimed 71.3 percent of all fixed-line connections, 3.03 million lines for 2.73 million subscribers.
Second largest was Bucharest-based Romania Cable System (RCS&RDS) with a reported 1 million subscribers, third largest being UPC Romania which had 112,000 telephony customers.

Bosnia choose privatisation model

The government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has selected a privatisation model for its two state-owned telecom operators.
