The Serbian Orthodox Church and Telekom Srbija have come up with a humanitarian campaign to help the Kosovo Serbs.
Russia’s Svyazinvest group has reported an 88.6 percent rise in net profits for 2007 to RUB 36.9 billion (USD 1.6 billion). Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was RUB 87.9 billion, while revenues were up 12 percent to RUB 244 billion.
Russian fixed-line operator Synterra has reported a 55.1 percent rise in 1Q net profits to RUB 445.4 million (USD 18.7 million). Revenue for the period reached RUB 1.60 billion. Synterra offers long-distance and international telephony plus a range of data services using wired and fixed wireless infrastructure. It operates over a 44,000 km national network.
