New MVNO launched in Kosovo

Macedonia and Bulgaria sign co-operation agreement

Kazakh operators buy spectrum

The operators of cellular communications in Kazakhstan bought frequencies of the GSM-1800 standard, report the agency Interfax.

Slovenian regulator 3Q reports

Accroding to Slovenia’s Agency for Post and Telecommunications (APEK)’s quarterly telecoms market report broadband penetration reached 19.5 percent at the end of the third quarter of 2008, up from 15.9 percent a year ago, with household penetration rising from 47 percent to 58 percent in the same period.

Romania regulator predicts fall in growth

Romania’s telecoms regulator is forecasting that the market will grow by between 5 and 10 percent in 2009, following a double-digit rise in 2008. Liviu Nistoran, president of the National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANC), says that growth stood at 16.7 percent in 2007.
