The Czech Republic’s third largest mobile operator by subscribers, Vodafone CR (formerly Oskar), added 40,000 net new additions between January and March 2008 increasing its total base to 2.7 million users by the end of the first quarter.
Year-on-year, the cellco’s growth rate was 9 percent, or 223,000 new users, Vodafone said in a press release. Vodafone’s growth compared favourably with larger rivals Telefonica O2 CR and T-Mobile, which recorded annual growth of 6.6 percent and 3.2 percent, respectively.
