The Serbian government plans to launch an IPO for incumbent fixed-line telco Telekom Srbija in the first quarter of 2009, according to the country’s Finance Minister.
The minister added that the operator’s current market value is estimated at EUR 4 billion. Greek telco OTE currently has a 20 percent stake in Telekom Srbija, with the rest owned by the government. The plan is for up to a 14 percent stake to be sold on the local stock exchange.
