Alexander Isaev, the General Director at Rostelecom, told Interfax that his company is targeting 2008 revenue of about RUB 38 billion according to IFRS accounting standards.
Isaev said, “Under IFRS, where the revenue of the parent company and all the subsidiaries are consolidated, we plan revenue from core operations at about RUB 38 billion”. He added that consolidated net profit is expected at about RUB 4.3 billion.
Rostelecom owns Sibirtelecom, the largest regional operator in Siberia. The company serves about 4.3 million fixed-line subscribers and roughly the same amount of cellular subscribers.
