Following mobilkom austria group’s subsidiary in Serbia, Vip mobile Macedonian mobile operator VIP has signed a strategic partnership with Vodafone, which will see the two operators jointly offer new products and services in Macedonia.
Through the partnership deal, VIP users will receive new services, the latest generation of mobile phones and access to Vodafone’s international roaming network. The first joint product to be launched in Macedonia is a BlackBerry package which includes a touch screen smartphone, software for quick access to e-mail and multimedia contents.
VIP are new to the Macedonian market and by the end of 2007 had 141,200 subscribers, the growth of the market is charted below:
