Telefonica O2 Czech Republic announced on Monday that it will challenge an earlier decision from a lower Czech court in the Country’s constitutional court over repossession of property in a long-running dispute with the local unit of T-Mobile.
O2 said it is willing to pay court-ordered financial compensation of roughly CZK 2 billion (USD 128.6 million) to T-Mobile so that O2 can proceed with its planned property divestment put on hold by the court’s repossession.
O2 Chairman Salvador Anglada Gonzalez said: “The payment of this compensation will have no impact on our finances as it is a long-dated issue”.
