Telekomunikacja Polska, Poland’s largest telco, recently released its 1Q consolidated financial results, which include a net profit rise of 32 percent year-on-year, due primarily to rising mobile and broadband revenue and lower financial costs.

Group net profit at the company rose to PLN 681 million (USD 310 million) in the first quarter from PLN 518 million in the year-earlier period. This figure was well above the average forecast of PLN 553 million in a Dow Jones Newswires poll of seven telecoms analysts.
