Beeline, VimpelCom’s federal cellco, and news portal ‘Newslab.ru’ launched a joint contest for funny MMS ‘Laughter in Focus’ in Krasnoyarsk on April Fool’s Day, 1 April.
Any subscriber can send their humorous photos taken with their mobile to phone number 0001, prefaced with his or her first name and surname. The contest photos will be posted in the special section of Newslab.ru portal.
Visitors of the Web site will be able to vote for the pictures they like. Authors of the most original and funny photos will get valuable prizes, one of them being a mobile phone. An MMS will cost RUB 6.43 (USD 0.25), VAT included. The contest will last until 20 April.
The results of MMS contest will be released on 23 April 2008. The one to get the majority of the vote will become the winner. Moreover, Beeline set a separate nomination: ‘Best stripy photo’. Winners in this nomination will get special black and yellow prizes.
